National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Walk/ Treaty Day Celebration Event at Membertou School.
Includes inter-generational community storytelling, Mi’kmaq drumming and singing including youth drum group, cultural displays open to the public, memorial walk at dusk. Memorabilia provided to community members (orange shirts, pins), traditional refreshments of luski and jam and blueberry tea prepared by Membertou community hospitality group, vendors on site.
