Mi’kmaq History Month Activities

Sipekne’katik will host our Annual Treaty Day Community Feast and Celebrations for all community and outside sister communities with a traditional menu which includes but not limited to salmon, moose meat, lobster and traditional bread Luski. Cultural events hosted by Elders and Knowledge Keepers to teach traditional Mi’kmaq practices that include by not limited to outdoor cooking over an open fire, making four cents, cleaning and preparing wild game for food, waltes, and activities for students. All events are open for everyone and anyone in attendance to observe and or participate
