Mi’kmaw Cultural Celebration Day
Table display presentations will be setup all around the Great Hall where SME presenters will share their knowledge on the various traditional pieces of information on things such as basketry, leather and beadwork, hunting & fishing, the Mi’kmaw language, traditional foods, Mi’kmaw history, Mi’kmaw legends and of course our very own traditional songs and dances.
Individuals will be asked to take part as groups of 10-20 with each one starting at one station. After 20 minutes of the presenter time each group will rotate clockwise. This will take up the majority of the time there that day. We will take a break for lunch at 12:00pm. Before we start up in the morning and in the afternoon we will be doing a large group “Friendship Dance” to keep everyone positively charged on the intent of the day – “Mi’kmaw Cultural Celebration Day”. Completion of the event will be at 2:00pm.

Legends of Kluscap – Mi’kmaw Traditional Stories (Theatre Group)
