DESCRIPTION:The Indigenous Speakers Series presents \nGiduwah and Mi’kmaw Knowledge Through Storytelling: \nAncient Traditions in a Modern Form\nWednesday March 22\, 2017 6:30-8:30pm \nHalifax Central Library \nIn this event Catherine Martin (L’nu) and Sandra Muse Isaacs (Giduwah) bring us the living richness and complexities of Indigenous knowledges\, storytelling and oral traditions\, in multiple forms. \nCatherine Martin is a filmmaker & activist from the Millbrook Community (L’nu / Mi’kmaq)\, and currently MSVU Nancy’s Chair.\nSandra Muse Isaacs is a Giduwah / Eastern Cherokee storyteller\, and professor of Indigenous Literature in SMU’s English Department. \nEveryone welcomed!
