DESCRIPTION:Ego to Eco: “Wikewiku” (Animal Fattening Time) \nTuesday\, October 23\, 2018 (6:30PM – 8:30PM) \nCentral Library \nDescription\nJoin us in a talking circle to learn the Mi’kmaq calendar as a way of understanding that human and ecological health are interdependent. \nCatherine Martin will introduce “Wikewiku” (animal fattening time) to explore humans\, the elements (water\, air\, earth and fire)\, and other species’ relations during this month. \nCatherine Martin is a Member of the Order of Canada and of the Millbrook Mi’kmaw Community in Truro. \nMi’kmaq teachings understand human and ecological health are interdependent. Ego to eco-centricity improves fitness\, wellbeing\, direction\, and motivation.
