SUMMARY:2017 Honouree Mi'kmaq Heritage:  The Mi'kmaq Heritage Hockey Classic-Bury the Hachet
DESCRIPTION:Join the Mi’kmaq Nation as we celebrate Heritage Day 2017\, with a Mid-Winter Feast and 2 game hockey series. \nThe Mi’kmaq community will host a two-game hockey challenge called The Mi’kmaq Heritage Hockey Classic – Bury the Hatchet\, where Chifls and Council members will play members and staff of the Nova Scotia government. \nThe first game will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday\, Feb. 18\, at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre. \n\n\n \nTraditional Mid-winter Feast \nFollowing each game\, both communities will host a traditional mid-winter feast. This will be an opportunity for players\, community members and all Nova Scotians to take part in an important cultural activity. \nThe Traditional Mid-winter Feast will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday\, Feb. 18\, at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre\, 50 Maillard St.\nFor more information please visit: https://heritageday.novascotia.ca/content/2017-honouree-mi’kmaq-heritage
