DESCRIPTION:Important Message: \nThis weeks Speaker series with Curtis Michael has been CANCELLED due to unforeseen circumstances\, Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.  Next Wednesday night (Oct 26th) they will have Stephen Augustine at the Centre.  Please come out and visit them on the 26th! \n_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nThe Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre are pleased to announce that we will be having a Speakers Series during the Month of October to celebrate Mi’kmaq History Month.  This week we invite you to come and listen to Curtis Michael.  So please come out and join us for a fun filled evening.  For more Speaker Series events see attached poster: mikmaq-history-month-speaker-series-poster \n \nPresenter Bio: \nCurtis Michael – October 19\, 2016 from 6-8pm \nSipekene’kati First Nation \nCurtis Michael was born and raised on the Sipekene’kati First Nation. He is married to Rose Michael (nee Nevin) and they have 11 Children. Curtis teaches our Mi’kmaw Language at the L’nu Sipuk Kina’muo’kuom (LSK). Curtis has created a flash card Mi’kmaw Language game called\, “Mi’kmaw Made Easy” and has been an advocate for our language for many years. \n
